Written by Jordan Owens; VP, Architecture | May 30, 2024 8:25:53 AM

Cisco to recommend Pexip’s Microsoft Teams Cloud Video Interop (CVI) to U.S. DoD and Federal customers within Impact Levels (IL) 4 to 7.

Pexip is excited to partner with Cisco to expand the reach of our high quality, Microsoft-certified Teams interoperability solutions to organizations deployed on IL4 and higher. Joint customers of Cisco and Microsoft can now be able to leverage Pexip’s certified interoperability solutions to join Teams meetings with high quality audio, video, and content.

How Cisco customers will benefit

With this partnership, Cisco customers can use existing video conferencing devices to join their Microsoft Teams calls within a compliant cloud environment. The user keeps a familiar experience, from the green button to join through the Teams-like layout in the meeting.

Pexip’s experience looks and feels like a Teams meeting, even on a SIP or H.323 endpoint. Users see speaker notifications, raised hand indicators, avatars, and more. Even the icons and colors look like a Teams client or Microsoft Teams Room.

Any organization using Pexip’s technology can also use their Cisco rooms to join external Teams meetings, even those without CVI details. Through Pexip’s SIP Guest Join technology, customers can use their tenant to join third-party Teams meetings, maintaining the full user experience they expect.

This partnership also helps Cisco’s customers protect their investments and drive better ROI from existing Cisco rooms, as well as manage upgrades based on budgeting schedules.

And the best part is that this solution is supported by all three vendors: Cisco, Microsoft, and Pexip. So when an issue occurs, customers can rest assured that we will work together to make it right.
