Cloud enterprise application enables professional video conferencing systems to join Microsoft Teams meetings
New York, NY., September 25, 2018 – Pexip, the award-winning video conferencing and collaboration platform vendor, today announced the availability of its Cloud Video Interoperability (CVI) solution for Microsoft Teams. The Microsoft-certified solution allows professional video conferencing systems to connect with Microsoft Teams meetings, extending the use of Teams. Pexip CVI for Microsoft Teams takes advantage of Pexip’s unique cloud deployment capabilities and addresses the growing requirement of organizations regarding data ownership and control.
“We are very excited to embark on this next-level journey with Microsoft and provide capabilities that further extend the use of Microsoft Teams in the enterprise,” said Odd Sverre Østlie, CEO at Pexip. “Pexip products are used by some of the most demanding organizations with their Skype for Business deployments. Adding the capabilities for Microsoft Teams to the Pexip platform facilitates a unique migration path for customers.”
Industries with compliance demands, such as financial services, healthcare, government, and the public sector, often have stringent data control requirements. As a cloud enterprise application, Pexip can be operated in any private or public cloud service and is optimized for use in Azure government cloud and similar federal cloud services. Pexip can also run on-premises in an organization’s data center or a combination of all these platforms.
Pexip already delivers a Microsoft-certified video interoperability solution for Skype for Business. The new capabilities add to the existing software and provide video, audio, and content-sharing between professional group video conferencing systems and Microsoft Teams meetings.

Protecting and retaining the native user experience is fundamental to the Pexip solution. Pexip CVI for Microsoft Teams is transparent to the end user, meaning video conferencing systems joining a Microsoft Teams meeting are seen and managed just like any other Microsoft Teams participant. Similarly, on the video conferencing side, the meeting is a standard video meeting with audio, video, and content sharing.
Pexip CVI for Microsoft Teams will be available on October 19th, 2018. It will be demonstrated at Microsoft Ignite in Orlando, Florida, from September 24-28.
