Video meetings should be seamless, flexible, and easy to navigate, whether you’re in a high-stakes boardroom discussion or a casual team sync. With Pexip Infinity v37, we’re introducing an improved user experience, enhanced layouts, and smarter meeting controls to make every interaction simpler and more efficient.

This release is all about the user, a part of our ongoing commitment to improving usability and customization for organizations that rely on secure, high-quality video conferencing.

Web app improvements: More ways to connect

Direct chat for private messaging

Want to send a quick message without disrupting the meeting? New direct chat functionality allows participants to send private messages to others on chat-capable devices, improving in-call communication.

Live captions, now with transcripts

Meetings move fast, and it’s not always easy to catch everything. With historical transcripts for live captions, participants can review what’s been said during a call which helps with comprehension and record-keeping. For privacy and security reasons, each user only sees a transcript of what was said while they were connected to the call, and transcripts cannot be viewed after the call has ended.

Safari background effects: more control over your video environment

Joining a call on Safari? You can now use background blur and background replacement to minimize distractions and maintain privacy, just like on other browsers. Whether you want a professional backdrop or a simple blur, these effects help keep the focus on you.

Seamless presentation viewing: Pexip CVI to support PowerPoint Live

A top user request is nearly here. Shortly, Pexip will support PowerPoint Live viewing within Microsoft Teams meetings for CVI-enabled meeting rooms. This integration eliminates a barrier between traditional video conferencing and the Microsoft Teams platform, ensuring all participants can easily follow and interact with shared presentations, creating a more inclusive and productive meeting environment.

A refreshed look and improved layouts

A makeover for splash screens

The base theme now features a new default background image for splash screens, giving meetings a more modern and polished first impression.

Clearer in-meeting indicators

Small details make a big difference. We’ve refined icons and status messages in the layout’s information bar, making it easier to stay informed about participant activity, connection status, and other key meeting details at a glance.

Smarter dual-screen support

For multiscreen setups, new layout options let you display participants across both screens with several view layout options, ensuring a more balanced visual experience. And when the second screen isn’t in use, you can customize what’s displayed, giving admins more flexibility in how meetings are presented.

Advanced meeting controls for better flexibility

More control over participant pinning

Admins can now customize the display of unused slots when pinning specific participants, ensuring a more focused and structured layout.

New policy management options

Need to fine-tune meeting settings? Administrators can now override multiscreen and "presentation in mix" settings for participants, offering even more control over how content and participants appear in a call.

Expanded authentication options for Exchange on-premises

One-Touch Join and Secure Scheduler for Exchange in Exchange on-premises environments now support the use of Kerberos for service account authentication, providing a more secure and seamless way to integrate with enterprise environments.

It’s time to upgrade to v37

Pexip Infinity v37 is all about refining the experience, with thoughtful UI updates, more customizable layouts, and improved tools for managing meetings.
