The freshly launched v36 of Pexip’s Infinity platform is a meeting experience upgrade for highly regulated organizations that prioritize control, privacy, and seamless functionality. This release delivers new capabilities for Pexip Secure Meetings customers, including participant pinning, modernized meeting notifications, and fully supported breakout rooms, along with improvements to Pexip Connect for Teams Rooms.
In response to growing demand from existing customers and Poly customers transitioning to PrivateConnect powered by Pexip, this release includes several updates:
Additional new features further improve the secure meeting experience.
Pexip’s integration with Microsoft Teams also benefits from the latest v36 update, supporting a seamless and cohesive experience for Connect for Teams Rooms customers. For instance, Pexip meeting hosts can admit a Teams Room into a locked Pexip conference from their Connect app, dual screens are automatically detected in Teams Rooms, and in-lobby notifications are more prominent.
Pexip v36 updates the latest version of our browser-based video calling application (Connect Webapp3), delivering enhanced security and an improved user experience. Key updates include a new ‘participant authentication’ indicator, allowing users to identify who has joined meetings via Single Sign-On (SSO). The ‘mute’ functionality has also been refined to make it easier to distinguish between participants who are self-muted and those muted by the host. Hosts now have greater control, with the ability to decide if guests can unmute themselves. Additionally, meeting guests will receive notifications when unmuted, with the option to remain muted. These updates provide greater control and reinforce the security of our video calling web application.
As a fully self-hosted platform, Pexip Infinity v36 offers a unique value proposition for IT, AV, and UC administrators in highly regulated sectors, such as finance, healthcare, and government, who prioritize control, privacy, and the ability to customize their environment.
