OSLO, Norway – Pexip, a leading provider of flexible video-based collaboration offerings, today announced that Polycom Trio users can join its service-based meetings in a single click. With Pexip’s cloud videoconferencing service, Videxio, and award-winning videoconferencing devices from Polycom, which was recently acquired by Plantronics, users can easily communicate with contacts both inside and outside their organizations through true interoperability. This builds on Videxio’s existing support for Polycom videoconferencing systems including the Debut, HDX and Group series.
The Trio is used by more than 57 percent of Fortune 100 companies and is highly rated amongst customers for its high audio and video quality. Pexip and Plantronics customers will now be able to use Polycom Trios registered to the Videxio service to join meetings in a single tap. The Trio has a tight Skype for Business integration, but now users will be able to talk to anyone – Skype for Business user or not – with their device. They can also make point-to-point calls to SIP, H.323 and Skype for Business addresses. Polycom Trio registration leverages the Videxio service’s global video network, ensuring the best quality and lowest latency calls worldwide.
“We are delighted that this cooperation lets us provide a high-quality video experience for our mutual customers. With the certification of Polycom Trio for the Videxio service, customers can extend their Videxio meetings into the conference room with confidence that the solution is supported by both companies,” said Nia Celestin, Senior Product Marketing Manager Cloud at Plantronics.
“With this cooperation, customers can access Pexip’s reliable and easy-to-use Videxio cloud video service, and Plantronics powerful group video solutions, now including the highly popular Trio series. We view this as a win for both sets of customers,” said Tom-Erik Lia, CCO at Pexip.
