The Future of Workspace Design

Tuesday, June 11
1:30 PM – 3:00 PM
Speaker: Eddie Clifton, VP, Strategic Alliances

In this panel session, leading UCC manufacturers will share their insights into how modern worker expectations are changing workspace design. According to the Harvard Business Review, creative capital is a company’s most important asset – and if you value innovative workers, you must consider how their working environment supports or detracts from creativity. Cubicle farms and board rooms won’t suffice for today’s knowledge workers. They expect flexible working hours and locations. They need to collaborate in both structured meeting and on the fly. They benefit from uplifting surroundings that inspire them to try new things. Our panel will explore:

  • What changing worker expectations mean for the physical environment
  • Considerations for planning the size, type, and number of collaboration spaces needed within an enterprise
  • Planning infrastructure so that environments can change in response to user needs

The Impact of AI and Machine Learning on the Future of UCC

Wednesday, June 12
11:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Speaker: Jordan Owens, VP, Architecture

In this panel session, leading UCC manufacturers will share their insights into how artificial intelligence will lead to better meetings. The machines are watching us – and as it turns out, that’s not so bad. This session will explore how smarter UCC solutions can support meetings where users not only have exactly the resources they need, but look and sound better and get more done. Our panel will explore:

  • Monitoring and analytics applications
  • Facial recognition and intelligent speaker tracker
  • Near future applications such as meeting transcription, translation, and summarization

Video Conferencing in the Cloud: The Real Story (details)
Panel moderated by Andrew Davis, Contributing Analyst, Recon Research
Michel Sagen, Chief Operating Officer, Pexip
Monday from 1-1:45pm
Location: Sun B

Owning and managing your own video conferencing environment is so … old school. Or is it? And the word on the street is that cloud solves everything. But does it? This “tell it like it is” session, led by a leading industry analyst, digs into the pros and cons of cloud-based video conferencing: Not just the sales pitches–the reality of what you gain (and what you might have to give up) if you go take the VC-as-a-Service plunge.

* Will we save money by shifting our video to the cloud?
* How secure are meetings hosted on a shared cloud server? Should I be concerned?
* If something goes wrong, who do my users call? Who does our support team call?
* If we use a cloud video service, do we have to abandon our other systems?
* Is there a hybrid story here? Can we shift to the cloud gradually?
* If cloud video is so great, why are so many large enterprises still using on-premises video?

How to future-proof your video conferencing investments
Karl Hantho, President of the Americas, Pexip
Monday from 4:10-4:30pm
EC Theater 100 (Expo Floor, Aisle 100)

As the enterprise collaboration space evolves, companies are struggling to meet the needs of the organization while balancing employee satisfaction and freedom. How can you bridge these gaps both today and in the future? This session will explore current trends affecting how we work, what they mean for user expectations, and tactical ways to drive adoption of your video conferencing tools. It will also explore future trends and explain how a flexible, scalable video conferencing platform can evolve with you over time, regardless of how you consume the product (on-premises, cloud, or hybrid).

If you have any questions, please reach out to Lindsey Baine at We look forward to seeing you at the show!

Microsoft Ignite 2018

Since being certified as a video interoperability platform for use with Skype for Business Server, Pexip has played a significant role in enabling customers to use video conferencing systems with Skype for Business. As announced last year, Pexip will extend this functionality to Microsoft Teams, so non-Microsoft users can attend Teams meetings as if they were standard Teams participants.

Who is Pexip for Microsoft Teams for?

Pexip for Microsoft Teams is uniquely designed to provide an exclusive video interoperability environment, where each customer has its own dedicated capabilities. That means that, unlike standard cloud services, customers will not share resources with others. This makes Pexip uniquely suited for industries and organizations within, but not limited to

  • Financial services and insurance
  • Federal, government, and public sector
  • Healthcare

Pexip is also ideally suited for large organizations with complex collaboration environments and organizations that run their IT environments on-premises, or are planning their journey to the cloud.

What to expect from Pexip at Microsoft Ignite

  • A complete certified solution for extending Microsoft Teams and Skype for Business meetings to non-Microsoft users
  • Workflow demonstrations, system architecture design presentations
  • Workshop and design opportunities – we’ll demonstrate how Pexip for Microsoft Teams integrates with any collaboration environment
  • Social event

As a Norwegian company, Pexip is a proud co-sponsor of “Norsk Aften” alongside Microsoft, CloudWay, and KPMG.

Norwegians visiting Ignite can register here to attend this evening of networking and fun at Bahama Breeze on International Drive.

In addition, Pexip will host a happy hour at the Itta Bena at Pointe Orlando on Wednesday 9/26. RSVP here.
